Changing...
Me about a year ago......................me today
I tried to write a mission statement about changing and metamorphosis, but really this is just a change of outer appearance that's mirroring a change in internal structure. I still dress as "city girl" when I'm at work. But when I get home, things are changing...

I grew up wearing overalls to high school. Then left my rural home after college to live in a large east coast city, where I dressed in slick black and grey suits all the time. For the last 16 years, I am back to my ranchwear at home, just like you, and work clothes during the day. I spend more money on a good pair of riding pants or an excellent warm pair of barn boots these days than I do on any other items in my wardrobe!
I go through the same metamorphosis! Corporate wear during the day, farm wear (overalls) any other time! Except on Fridays, when I can put on a city-fied farm wear (jeans!) :-)
Soon, I won't have to put on corporate wear and I'll give it all to the local downtown homeless!
I finally gave away most of my old corporate clothes. Nowdays I live in jeans and sweats! :)
IGO- I almost always spend more on my rural clothes! ESP boots! oooh, my love of boots...
homesteadherbs- Let's all hope for the soon scenario-- maybe help those homeless get a job (in the new spiffy clothes) in the process...
rurality- Oh, I can't WAIT for that day! You are my new hero :)
You look more happy and comfortable in the country digs! :)
